I was elated to hear a stunning performance of the Beethoven Tempest sonata by your student Arya. What a brilliant testimony to you as a musician and a teacher. Every moment had musical meaning, the highest interpretive and musical qualities, and flawless technique, always at the service of the musical message.
— Pianist and piano teacher at a fine arts association school of music
You are such a great and caring teacher. Your students are so lucky. Congratulations to them and to you.
— Ray L., Clinician and Colleague
During my first piano lesson at age six with Miss Cyndie, I learned Mozart’s “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” The feeling of pride when I played it for my family and friends was so different from the frustration I felt on the soccer field, basketball court, or baseball diamond. As I grew up and became more accomplished at a sport, music was still my salvation. It brings me peace and challenges my mind.

My son Joe began studying with Cyndie at age four. She had games and ways of learning the keyboard and musical symbols that kept a very young child interested. She also had materials for me to use making practicing at home fun. Joe studied with Cyndie for 13 years. He learned that it takes months of hard practice to be able to play a piece well and that difficult goals can be achieved while also having fun.

You give your heart to your students, not only your time and knowledge. Children are so innocent; they see through people. Ceren is one of those extra-sensitive children. She saw you and fell in love, then learned to use her hands and the knowledge from you. She loves piano now. This is what I was looking for.
— Mother of Ceren S. (age 4 at the time)

Cyndie, you celebrate success better than any teacher that I know. I love seeing the photos of your students, their attitude, their poise at the piano. What a terrific influence you must be on so many people, sharing your knowledge and love of music. I respect what you’ve accomplished over all these years since our student days.
— Bruce R., Teacher and Colleague
Cyndie provides a wonderful learning atmosphere with her understanding of children, her excellent musicianship and teaching methods, and her warm, inspiring personality. Her instruction and encouragement allowed our son to experience the joy of success and helped him to stretch his limits to try new subjects with self-confidence and hard work.
— Mother of Daniel V.
Thank you for your tremendous influence in my life over the past 14 years. During a childhood full of so many different activities, piano was the one constant. Every day I knew the piano would be waiting for me, and every week I knew I would have an opportunity to improve. I will always remember our lessons together and how lucky I was to have you as a teacher.
— Daniel B., Student
I started playing piano with Miss Cyndie when I was 4-1/2. Those lessons are some of my most cherished childhood memories. Learning how to play new songs was always challenging for me, especially when I was young. But the hours of work always paid off, because performing was my favorite part of playing piano. The lessons I learned about persistence and self-reflection have stayed with me through college and into medical school.
