World Class Pianists perform around the globe / Chagrin Valley Times

Cynthia Crotty has taught piano for over 30 years in a home studio that includes a Steinway grand piano positioned against a wall of windows overlooking her beautifully landscaped backyard in Chagrin Falls. Even the birds find the location inspiring, with hummingbirds gathering as Ms. Crotty’s students play.

Three of them -- Nathan Liu, of Solon and an Orchard Middle School student, Arya Babu of Solon and a Hathaway Brown student and Julian Kimbrough, of Chagrin Falls, who is home-schooled -- have placed first in recent international piano competitions, earning the privilege of playing in magnificent concert venues around the world.
